The Federation of European societies for tropical medicine and international health (FESTMIH) has got a new president. Inger Scheel of the Norwegian Forum of Global Health Research, was elected at the last FESTMIH General Assembly that was held in London in November.

In a letter to the federation Scheel says that she was honored to accept the position as President for the next period, and she wished to thank Thomas Junghanss and Zeno Bisoffi, who for many years has been the driving force of FESTMIH, as President and Secretary. They will still be part of the FESTMIH Board.
