The Royal Norwegian Embassy in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare India, would like to invite Norwegian and Indian Research Institutions to submit proposals for operational research (implementation research) within the context of the Norway India Partnership Initiative (NIPI).  
  
The NIPI Joint Steering Committee has approved funds not exceeding an amount of 15 million NOK (About 2.1 million USD).  The funding is available for studies relevant for Newborn, Child  and related Maternal Health within the context of the Reproductive and Child Health Programme of the National Rural Health Mission under the auspices of the Norway-India Partnership Initiative.  
 
The time span of the funding is 2009-2011. Institutions are requested to submit applications to The Royal Norwegian Embassy, New Delhi.

Deadline is 15th April 2009.
